Welcome

The purpose of this organization is to allow abused woman and their children, if they have children, to start over-mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually through help from volunteers we have recruited and other organizations that are willing to help.

There will be numerous opportunities for the woman including but not limited to: group meetings, substance abuse counseling, mental health treatment, transportation, and help to get employed if they are not already.

Feel free to contact Her Fork In The Road with any questions.

Thank you.

With Your Support...

We can do this!

Sometimes this seems so amazing. Unreal even. To others who are hurting and needing help, the idea that we have them in the forefront of our minds, thoughts and dreams, gives hope where all seems lost.

The more people we speak to about this, the more children we see being neglected and left without a voice, the more we see friends with black eyes or we hear on the news that a woman was killed by her boyfriend or a woman was raped, the more motivated we are to do this. We were once that child, those woman, that friend.

It's unbelievable how far we've come since we started in April. Yesterday made it real. We now have a bank account. Which seems small when you think about it but it's huge. This account is more than that just a bank account. This account is going to hold grants we receive, money from sponsors and from fundraising, and most importantly this account is going to help so many woman and children to have a voice, leave, get help and to start over.

With your support and encouraging words and God's guidance, we will help put a stop to the abuse and neglect!

On Our Way

Wow what a journey this has been thus far. How quickly this is going too.
We now have four woman on our board of directiors.

Kim is our talented President, Director
Elyssa is our gifted Vice-President and Co-Director.
Leslie is our trusted Treasurer.
Carrie is our highly detail oriented Secretary.

We are exceptionally, astounding woman that make Her Fork In The Road because we are all willing to hear, listen, change, love and care for this important mission we are on... helping woman and children one step at a time.

We are in the process of taking care of all the little things that will help us to be a functioning and organized non-profit organization. Currently, we are meeting weekly, discussing fundraising ideas and dates (we are hopeful for a few this summer so keep your eyes and ears open for more info), business sponsorships, advertising ideas and strategies, and most importantly getting the details and by-laws decided on so we can start to implement them.

So you want to know how to get involved, help in some way or learn how to volunteer for us or be a member and what that entails. Here's a few suggestions:

  • Come to our meetings - Thursday's at 5:30pm at Dennys on Ann Arbor Road in Livonia
  • If you know someone who owns a business or you own one, consider sponsoring us.
  • If you have any suggestions or questions don't hesitate to send us an email at
  • Do you know people who would be interested in us - Let them know about us:
  • Most importantly spread the word about what our vision is.

Thanks for supporting us!
